The Town of Black Creek has long-standing ordinances in place to keep our community clean and beautiful. These rules have been in effect for over 20 years, but starting NOW, April 2025 they will be STRICTLY enforced with NO exceptions! Fines will be issued if you do not comply.
Here’s what you need to know:
Garbage & Yard Waste Rules:
• Garbage bins must be removed from the curb by 8:00 PM Thursday—failure to comply will result in a $50 fine after the 3rd offense.
• Leaves and pine straw must be bagged in garbage bags (not sheets) for pickup.
• Limbs cannot be over 4 feet long.
• Yard waste/debris pickup is on Mondays only. Do NOT place items by the street before Friday or after 7:00 AM Monday, or you will face a $50 fine.
• Construction materials and tires will NOT be picked up by the town.
• Bushes, shrubs, and trees must be trimmed so the Town has access to meters.
Recycling Rules:
• Recycling pickup is on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month.
• Recycle bins must be removed from the curb by 7:00 PM Wednesday—failure to comply will result in a $50 fine after the 3rd offense.
• Your recycling will not be picked up if it contains garbage or non-recyclable items.
Junked Vehicle Ordinance:
• One junked vehicle is allowed only if it is fully concealed with an acceptable covering and kept in good repair.
• More than one junked vehicle must be stored inside a garage or enclosed structure—no exceptions!
• You have 7 days to comply if you receive a notice, or you will be cited.
